Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

TL;DR

We do notstore your emails. Email content is sent to AI only to generate a reply and discarded immediately. We collect only your account info and usage count. That's it.

1. What We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to provide the Service: • Account information: Your name and email address provided via Google OAuth through Clerk. • Usage data: Number of AI replies generated per day (for quota enforcement). • Subscription data: Your billing plan status (Free or Pro) via Polar. We do not store full payment details. • Extension settings: Your preferences (default tone, length, language, sign-off) stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

We do not store, log, or retain: • The content of your emails or email threads. • Your full contact list or Gmail metadata. • Any email content beyond what is needed to process a single generation request — which is discarded immediately after the AI model responds.

3. How Email Content Is Processed

When you click "Generate Reply," the active email thread visible in your browser is sent from your browser directly to our backend API over HTTPS. Our API forwards this to an AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a reply. Neither we nor the AI provider store the email content after the response is returned. The AI provider's data processing is governed by their own privacy policy.

4. How We Use Your Data

Account and usage data is used exclusively to: • Authenticate you and maintain your session. • Enforce free-tier usage limits. • Process and manage your subscription. • Send transactional emails (e.g., subscription receipts) when necessary.

5. Data Storage and Security

Account and usage data is stored in a secured database hosted on a reputable cloud provider. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Your authentication tokens are managed by Clerk and stored only in browser memory and chrome.storage.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: • Clerk — Authentication (clerk.com) • OpenAI — AI reply generation (openai.com) • Polar — Subscription billing (polar.sh) Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to any third party.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@fastreplyai.com. You can delete your account, which will remove all stored personal data, within 30 days of the request. Your extension settings stored locally can be cleared through your browser's extension settings at any time.

8. Cookies

The FastReply AI website may use strictly necessary cookies for session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the email associated with your account. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
